Windows VR Headsets (Dell etc)
« on: January 31, 2018, 10:15:37 PM »
Do they work with AH yet? And if so how good/bad is the tracking?

I see some are getting quite cheap.

I have the Samsung one. It kinda works but I put it on the shelf. It was just to clunky in AH. It worked a little better in Iracing. The tracking was not an issue but IMHO the Windows sets will probably need to be implemented with the Windows native system to be usable. The steam/open vr emulation is just not there yet.
With the lowered price of the rift cv1, the small price difference doesn’t justify not getting the benefit of the much much better rift.

My information is a few weeks old so if they improved the steam vr emulation I haven’t seen that.

The Windows VR headsets will work, but not as well as a Rift or Vive.  The software is just not there yet.  The quality of some of the headsets is lacking as well.
