So for us that choose to not be in a squad we should go play some place other than the MA?

Coogan

I didn't say that at all. In this hypothetical scenario of 1500 people, I wouldn't imagine that every single person would be flying in / with their squad.

In the game's current state, it is probably those lone soldiers that are keeping the action alive. I don't know what I said for you to make this comment. But no, I would not agree with that statement. Afterall, at this point in time, I might as well be one of those that choose to not be in a squad when i fly on a weekday because my buddies don't get on until the weekend.

I want as many people playing as it would take for there to be 500 guys flying FSO again.

Off peak times really suck.. i work 2pm to 12am weekdays and dont bother logging in to find a fight much anymore after work.

Had monday off and logged into 91 folks online at 3pm cst.  Not really enough folks to really kickstart any type of fight between map size and the fact we have a 3 country system.

The later of those variables seems to be the biggest problem.  Switch countries and be stuck 6 hours?  Nah, closed the game and fired up call of duty.. black ops 2.. isnt that game damn near 10 years old?

Ive heard the excuses as to why two countries doesnt work, i dont buy it.  Especially with ENY part of the mix.  I can literally log in and see it choking the life out of the game with current numbers, depending on the country you fly for.

Three countries doesnt seem that great either...

As to the number of players?  I bet with 800 primetime, numbers.wouldnt drop below 150 during offpeak.

I had fun because i was interacting with folks in a video game.. even if half of them were tards. (In reference to call of duty).

Hell i didnt even have xbox live, and fired it up just to get the sense of online gaming.

Im not knocking the creators or players of this game, im just pointing out what some goofy mechanics are doing to gameplay, and what it caused me to do with my free time.  To each their own, but dont expect a lot of folks to pay 15 bucks a month to have to beg to find action, with a backup choice of spending 2 hours to bomb a strat, or run around in a pixel halftrack dropping off supplies to internet buildings.

Will i keep my account and check it out now and again?  Hell yes, especially when friends say they will be online.  Otherwise, it wont be that high on my list of ideas to have fun.

well I see it as a three country war with 2 fronts.  I was on the other day when you were logged on and other than the ONE incident it was fun, but yeah changing for 6 hours sucks.

I have been watching AHC (old military channel) a good bit recently. I originally found AH on the military channel. What commercial did I see? Warbirds. Which looks like crap compared to AHIII.

Afterall, I play the game for the squad and the community and not necessarily 1v1 action. Thats what the Match play is for, in my opinion.  :salute

To me it came across as the MA is not the place for folks not in a squad.

I think there's a misconception at work. Being squadless doesn't necessarily mean one is looking for 1v1 exclusively - and on the other hand many of those 'duellists' are member of a squad.

I, for one, have never been member of a squad, but I also never roamed the MA skies in search of noble & undisturbed duels. The MA has always been fine for me as a lone sheep :old:

I still fire up the original Black Ops Zombie mode.   Friggin' love that.  Der Reise is the best map ever.

Raising off peak numbers usually reflects the prime time numbers in a loose ratio. Chances are Hitech solves for prime time numbers and off peak will directly benefit. I'm still solving for activity levels in peak time with a new terrain targeting several aspects of game play. One is I'm increasing the number of airfields with the map room on the field to speed up base capture because it will remove the M3 interfering with the fight to capture or be repelled, and make it a pure fight over that field. It appears removing the M3 as the last moment super controller over the outcomes of a base capture wasn't even noticed on those 21 airfields I did this to. The energizer bunnies just piu, piu, piued at each other and fought for the field. :O

Most in these forums get a bit too complex in what they think will save the universe or feel that their idea is a gazillion% correct and everyone else is stupid to argue with it. Including Hitech for some reason... While when you watch the average piu, piu, piuer, they just want to accomplish something and win even in a hoard setting. Winning in a team like game is well known to promote more winning becasue it feels good. Sure it can end up as a hoard tagging along to win but, they are having fun winning. Kind of simplistic, which seems to offend some people mightily who don't really have any ideas that simply get that kind of spontaneous activity out of our community.

Mindless winning offends the complexity types but, it keeps a larger number of customers happy and may well keep them coming back while Hitech crafts new things. The same complexity types were offended 10 years ago and complained about the same issues with the piu, piu, piu mindless win types. Today we is all woke and complex becasue of our smaller numbers and having to survive a fish bowl full of sharks. Funny per the complexity types for the last decade, that should have all of us now seeking each other out in an orgy of complexity, nuance, and ACM glory, per their experienced opinions. With the fields I setup on Oceania that have the map room on the field and no town to resupply with M3's. I watched an old spontaneous familiar pattern emerge of groups of players happily hoarding fields and defenders upping to be slaughtered or repeal the hoard.

Hitech did an experiment where he made something complex for the complexity opiners. The complexity caused players to stop using the process.

hm. I was just stating what I play the game for, and that 1v1s are best sought after in the match play arena because in the MA not everyone respects the 1v1. As in it can be seen pretty often when people complain about someone else diving in and messing up their 1v1. To me, I can't complain about that because although I respect a fight when I see it, and ill only dive in when a teammate asks for it, I do not expect that everyone is going to do that because the MA is not inherently designed for 1v1 fights, but for team fights.

Props to the lone wolf. Sorry for the confusion.

No sorry necessary.  I read it the wrong way.  No hard feelings.

A lot of perceived gameplay issues result from low numbers. The last time I logged in before canceling my account it was 15 players online. No way you can create a rich and varied, continuous battle environment with numbers that low. Even the 60-90 players total during Euro prime during the week are way too low for that.

I did not think global.  You are right of course.
