all the dozen or so years  i have been flying i have not asked for much , but.. and here's the big but . i would so wish to be able to pm another player while they are offline and it appear to them when they log on .. as many of us fly with squaddies and teammates from other time zones it would be a good way to communicate .. im not sure weather this should be limited to suad mates or the same country . but every update i have my fingers crossed this will happen .......... i dont want subs , nukes v2 bombers or other silly stuff .. just an easy way to communicate

Only the squad CO can upload squad messages. But you can have a squad forum and post messages there.

That removes the anonymity.  As a personal security issue, it is a good idea to not share your personal email unless you know that person.  By communicating through the game system, we get to keep our "secret identities".  You don't know who might be lurking out there.

I didn't say you should use your personal email. Most people know you can have multiple email accounts. You can use your game ID for your squad email ID.

With squad membership measured in decades you're worrying about giving an email address? I can see how it may be an issue for normal cicumstances though.

I have always thought that squads that have been together for a year or more should have e-mails and phone numbers-esp in case something happened. I have 1 current and and phone numbers and e-mails for 2 former squaddies makes sense.

many squads do this. Regardless of that, your email is not the first thing you give to people. There would be many instances where you wanted to message someone but they arent in your squad or you havn't known them long enough get their email or phone number. Like if you fly a few missions with someone and just want to send them a quick message, but they already logged off. Given that we play on computers like you say, I don't think that would be too hard. Really no reason not to do it.
