Guess the M24 wouldn't be a good upgrade compromise at 34mph max speed and a 75mm gun.

Factory mod is one thing field mods are another.

Not sure where I read it, but the Rocket addition was a field mod., now it may have been a Factory mod initiated by a field mod.

That kind of falls under the B-25C/D strafer version kits. They were sent to Australia and done at a base there then sent back to the combat squadrons.

No H came direct from the factory.
The G model was a field mod.

+1 on the H as a factory mod - they also moved the dorsal turret just behind the flight deck, added two 50 more cals, lighter 75mm and gave the navigator single controls at his station. And no co-pilot... :eek:

The B-25G (only 400 25C's were converted) was basically a 25C, with more armour plating, more fuel capacity, and was slightly heavier. Mods were done at operational locations instead of retiring the C outright.
