Right now, Squad sub-forums are bottom of the barrel here. And one of the greatest part of this game is being involved in a squadron. When I first joined Aces High, I was unsure about how this game would hook my interest. It seemed like it was Quake in WWII Planes. I didn't find it very appealing to fly alone, get shot down, get back up in the air, get hammered again, get back up in the air again, only to have someone vulch me as I tried to take off - it wasn't a very positive experience and I was hour 5 into the game (I'm the stubborn lot), and some player named Pug saw my pain and told me to wing up. He eventually invited me to his squad, the 412 Bronco Mustangs led by Midnight. And from that going forward, I was hooked into the Aces High family and was taught how to wing up and fly without getting hammered 10 times in 10 minutes. Good fun to figure out how to fly and get a few kills and do it with online friends. That is what hooks new players to staying with this game. Not solo flying... unless your a shark who wears those funny hats and don't need any stinking squadmates.
That said, our squad discussion sub-forms needs to be higher so that our Aces High 'family' (squadron) is forefront in our community discussions - rather than someone complaining in the General forums about the ground radar or the lack of variants of the Spitfire or Jug, missing Italian fighters and bombers...or both at the same time...only to find you missed important squad talk at the bottom a week later.
So, I'd like to propose that we move them to either under Announcements or under the Help and Support Forum. If you're a regular member, you'll appreciate having the squads posts first and foremost here in the community - as they are truly the first community you need to get exposed to as a member of this game to really bring home the sense of community.
It's your squadron first, the community as a whole second. We need our forums reflect that! Family first!
