I’d say 2.5 for me. I was lucky to be flying with an excellent group of guys, who made the scenario for me. I believe part of what makes a scenario are the people you fly with!

To me the combat area felt a little too big considering we averaged anywhere from 30-38 per side roughly. There has to be a way to get our numbers up, there just has to be a way to bring in more people. I know our percentage of attendance is higher, but I miss the days of 60 per side let alone 100 plus.

It is what I knew it would be going in.  20-30 minutes of inactivity broken up with brief periods of fear, sweat and death.  Four frames is too long in my opinion unless the place or planes in operation changes.  As usual the time for most of my own squad is very difficult to make as we usually present more numbers late EST PM.

Only reason I am not rating it a 5 is time...

I know walk-ons impede on launch time.  But, I rely on my RL schedule around events.  Frankly, I experienced wife ack twice because I wasn't ready by 6pm.   :rofl

If possible (and perhaps I should have already calculated for this), try to have everyone in and assigned so we can open fields at the advertised time.

I recommend not having an "END TO HOSTILITIES" but use the FSO rule of you must be landed and towered out by end of frame. this way it is in the planning and there should be no reason enemy planes are over a field 5 minutes before frame end (or they lose the plane / points).

Always a good crowd.

Thank you all for CMing and all who participated.  I'd love to recruit more players.

The planeset had a lot of potential but there was too much variance on the Allies. The Spit5 really had no business being there and was the slowest of them all. It also put a real strain on planning because the Allies had to work with 4 different types of fighters.

Flying to fields behind the Axis lines to land was very gamey. I didn't really buy it at first when the justification was "it was after end hostilities", but it made sense just to get guys down. However, doing it mid-frame was pretty low no matter how you look at it. In general flying outside of the area of play was lame.

While the combat area may have been smaller than other events, it was still too large given the amount of fighter aircraft in the event. Our command deemed it not worthwhile to defend the city or airfield because the maximum number of points attainable was very low as opposed to the possible attainable points from the V-bases, so the majority of our stuff went up there and we left just a couple in the south in case NOE, unescorted raids came (which they did, multiple times). In the end that strategy paid off, but led to quite a lot of downtime during some frames for most guys. I thought the scoring system was nice to eliminate parking over a base and racking up points if there was no opposition, but stuff was just too spread out to encourage a fight.

Hopefully there is a way to discourage or end use of 88mm guns, they only end up as fun-killers, I don't see a problem with 37mm as they provide defense much closer to the base.

I also kind of agree with Slip, I think the "end of hostilities" idea has seen its last days, it doesn't provide anything useful now and only causes problems (last minute attacks where attackers end up immune directly over enemy bases, people not disengaging after it is called).
