best plane to bounce a 262

I think the correct question should be in what situations would it be best to bounce a Me 262 instead of what plane to use.

Would all of this be related to the Rooks last night flying in a 262 around some Bish bases and no one could catch me...I mean the 262?

The Yak caused me some grief, but the Jug's and P-51's had to watch their backs.

By far, I found that Yak with their higher low-level sustained speed were most troublesome for me in my 262. Mostly because I had to be mindful when mixing it up that most Yak's do maintain 325+MPH in their aircraft when turning.

The D9 and TA-152 have lower terminal dive speed than the 190A.

The D9 have same wings as the 190A8 but to me it feels more unstable than the A8 does, close to 600mph.

On the Axis side, IMO the 190-D9 catches it best, then the A model 190s, then the Ta-152.  The 152 doesn't dive like the others, but as with anything that can dive it's a matter of being in the right place at the right time to catch it and the guns are nice if you can get a shot on him.

P51 or any jug will do the job.  F4Us aren't terrible at it, but not as good as the P51 or P47s.

Personally my first choice would be a D9, then an M jug, then the P51, then any of the others.  Depending on your personal preferences, any of those 3 could be interchanged IMO.

True, but the D9 doesn't lose the speed as fast when you start to level out.  At least that's what it feels like to me.

To be honest, if you're hunting a Me-262, the best non-perked plane to do it (and the ones that did it historically) is a P-47M/N, a Typhoon, or the P-51D. Both retain energy fairly well in and after a dive.  And if your landing in a Me-262, the Yak-3 can also cause you some grief with its high low-altitude speed - same as the P-51.

I would prefer the P51 with alot of smash,  I've converged to well sometimes and over shot the jet!

Once you've clocked him stay out of visual range and wait for them to pull up or dive on friendlies.  Then build speed and wait for them to come back up.  Jets take a little while to accelerate so thats their weakest point in terms of speed.

Good jet drivers would normally stay level and fast so you will have to converge taking into account where they are going rather than where they are and as above don't overshoot. 

Thankfully jets are like paper and usually catch fire with minimal 50 cal hits.

The 163 gets uncontrollable VERY quickly at speed so it'd be dicey trying to make a fast diving attack.

The best plane to bounce a 262 is the me163.

KI 61 dives like mad and can still manuver with the 262 if it tries to juke using your compression to force the overshoot.  Plus 2x 20mm in the nose.

Ki61 compression speed is well below the speed needed to catch a fast 262, they 190A is not even warmed up before the Ki driver is a passenger in his own plane, plus the 4*20mm AND 2*13mm.
