In flight check to see if auto engage autopilot is checked. I have it unchecked and none of these problems.

My auto pilot didn't work whether I have the "auto engage autopilot" checked or not.
I just did another offline flight.  Calibrated my stick (which seemed to be good before calibration), and now the auto pilot works (without "auto engage autopilot").

I've noticed two differences in autopilot:

1.  When changing auto pilot modes, the current mode doesn't need to be turned off before the new mode is selected.
2.  Auto pilot turns off with less control input than previously.  This could explain why some need to recalibrate their stick to make autopilot work.  (Might also need to add damping or deadzone.)  Also, the "hesitation" when taking control away from autopilot is gone -- a good thing.

I prefer to use the keyboard for zooming the map in or out.
Is there a way to remove the zoom icons from the map?
Thanks;

Was looking for a work-around for the new Auto Mode setup (I use Mode 1&3 for aircraft and Mode 2&4 for vehicles) and noticed that clicking a key in the Keyboard Mapper didn't show the current mapping for that key.  Is this different?  Didn't clicking a key used to show the current mapping?

Just checked and it still works.  When you say you are clicking a key, are you clicking on the virtual keyboard in the monitor, or on the key of the actual keyboard?  I checked by pressing the actual key on the keyboard.

  Maybe I don't spend enough time on the forums, because I have NO idea what "VR" is...I mean none at all, and it's significance to the game.

It's clear as a bell...unlearning 25 years of joystick and learning the new hand movements would drive me quite insane.
