Squad {Tags}

Hiya!

I would like to wish for optional squad {Tags} Infront of player names instead of in there actually name. The {Tag} should be ajusteble by the squad leader. Other games like Counter Strike have this as well and seems to work great.

In my old squad TWC The Wreaking Crew  (otherwise known as The Weather Channel  ) players had to put this Infront of there name. Some players disliked the idea of losing there perks over it and losing there established name in the game because of the limited characters they had to work with. But liked being part of a group that stands out.

I do believe a Squad {Tag} improves bonding within a squad. And can improve squad reputation like it did with the vGuys (vDallis for example). Some squads still have this practice. The first one that comes to mind are The Unsung Legends (UL).

I also believe it adds an additional emotional bonding layer to the game. Which can only be good.

I think they would still have the names....ie

{UL} Tactus

{TWC} Axew

{56th} Fugitive

and so on

Are you saying Squad and name together. If so that would put a lot of writing in the air, or would it be Squad or name.

I know what the OP is talking about--I went from lunatic1 with the 173rd to Ltarlun lost everything then from Ltarlun back to lunatic lost everything again.

A design choose can also be what they do in most mmo's with guilds. Put the name below it. In our game the tags would be shorter than most player names so it would be more estaricly pleasing to put them above the player name isntead.

A quick example, but obviously these tags are much larger than they would in our game:

If this does get implemented, I hope there will be a new "icon mode" to show only the player's ID without the squad tag to minimize clutter.

Thats a good idea! Those who oppose this might wanna make use of that. Just like how i turn off the silly stars
