Absolutely a +1 idea to the original post.  Please add an altitude feature to the set point criteria.  Example: Point 1 climb to 10K, Point 2 climb to 15K, etc.

I think the drone missions were a separate wish already.

When will we get Cat IIIc Autoland?

Lets start with some NDB approaches first to weed out the weak.

I like it.

My recommendation is incorporate it into a built in pickup mission.

If WPs are put in, then the creator has the option to climb out and hit some sort of Ctrl command key and only he will be on that WP-AutoPilot.  Then if anyone in her/his mission can do the .wingman and attach from there.

I think that has merit.

Heh.

No one uses those anymore.  Except in remote places, like Alaska.

They’re still around.  And we still fly one every six months in the simulator with a course reversal...

Pure existence of the discussed feature in this game would be disturbing even when disabled for my own use, similar to those HUD vertical bars, automatic autopilot engage and if ever implemented, the wingman voice support telling you "Red closing on your six" etc.

Ya some of these requests are getting a bit out of hand. Why are you playing a game if you dont want to actually play it but let the game run on automatic? Whats the point?

Agreed.

$100 says this doesn’t happen, and we can thank Heaven for it.  I’d rather see AI drone BUFFs than this.  Like a previous poster noted, let’s have it autobomb for us, too.  Just login, click a few things, and bingo.   Name in lights.

why not just add ils, and require landings at night under complete blackout conditions

and just put all of the modern weapons on WWII aircraft like in iron eagle 3.

i am looking forward to having reverse sidewinders mounted to by b17s

Or perhaps Arizona - used to do this one in the EC-130 back when I was a young Captain...

Alaska still had the colored airways well after they were gone in the lower 48.

Don’t forget CAT III  approaches for when the weather gets really bad.  Oh, yeah.....we don’t have weather in game.  :rofl

A.) - If you want to do it alone and offline, I can build a cloud file on one of my test terrains that will probably lawndart you most of the time. I tested that for my first terrain and Hitech wouldn't let me do it. I had clouds scudding across the runway giving you intermittent glimpses while killing any visual references to try and get lined up. I kept hitting the runway while testing it and found a cliff I forgot about below the airfeild when I thought I was above the runway on final. And I can simply sock in the whole arena with a 5000ft thick layer starting at ground level. Hitech won't allow any of this in the MA but, I can let you play on my test terrain. I'll even sock in a carrier too, I'll make sure it runs straight for about 10 miles. I have air spawns on my test terrain so you won't have to try upping socked in.

B.) - Another thought is a custom terrain in the Player tab. You guys can pick one and I can put together an awful weather file that you can run on it becasue it will be a custom terrain and not an MA terrain. Then you guys can play weather warriors and see who survives landing.

The speed clouds pass over a point on the terrain has no bearing on the wind you can setup as a CM. But whom ever of you would post the custom terrain would be the CM and you could setup wind directions to match the cloud movement directions. There is no rain available in AH3 and the horrible weather system I would setup for you might eat your FPS anyway. That is the real reason we have fair weather cloud systems in the MA. I had to test all of it to build the cloud systems for all of the MA terrains so all of Hitech's customers could play together.

IL2 and WT have rain because their terrains are tiny compared to ours and they limit the number of players in an arena to much less than our average prime time. It comes down to the maximum number of objects that have to be processed in any give direction you look that you don't even see. Our 10x10 terrain is 625,000sq miles filled with objects and other players. Rain and clouds are objects and even the wrong clouds in our game kill FPS for the best PC.

It was either write all of this or one of you was going to inquire about rain mixed into really horrible weather. AH3 has no rain and really horrible weather would drive away customers by killing their cartoon pilot most of the time. But, I can give you really horrible clouds and overcast to fly in outside of the MA.
