Orders sent for Frame 2 of the Black Sea. C.O.'s please read.

Gents,

The TOD orders for Frame 2 of the Black Sea have been sent out to Blue and Sax. I want to go over a few items.

1.   There will be a ground engagement in this frame. How many tanks are committed to the ground war is the call of the Frame C.O., but I did place a minimum.

2.   All tank drivers will have "2" lives. If they are killed they may promptly grab another tank and start driving again. The vehicle fields where they tanks are from will be left open.

3.   Watch out for rocks. If you are driving a tank and strike a rock you will likely be killed or disabled. That will count as one of your lives.

4.   Due to some problems with the M8 and the new terrain both sides will be using the Pz.

5.   Blue and Sax, ask for squads that would like to drive tanks or don't care. Some squads would rather not, so please respect that.

Looking at the objectives I have given this will be a hot and heavy frame. Plenty of action in a relatively small area.

For those of you that might be tank drivers spotting enemy tanks in this terrain is no easy task. Also parts of the terrain are VERY bumpy, though not all of it.  You will have to stop at times to spot or you will never see the enemy.

Just to give you an idea, the pale yellow circles show where the tanks are. Smoke could really come into play in a ground war.

Best of luck to you all. It should prove to be a fun frame for everyone.  :)

If you have any questions post them here.

<S> Daddog,

Orders received thank you.  Couple of questions:

Is there a strategic map available for the new version of the terrain?  The new field layout coupled with the new clipboard in AH makes it hard to plan without a .jpg or .bmp file.

Are there any extra ROE for the gvs?

Also, regarding disposition of aircraft, are all aircraft available at all fields?  The map has changed so do the aircraft availability lists shown on the TOD website still apply?

Thanks from a CO newbie,

mako

P.S. I will send this as a priv. mess.

Those are some damn good questions Blue....and I hope when he answers them he copies me in also.  Seeing as how I have to set the place up and all, I might just need this info.   :)

3 AM here, up with sick kids. I was going to add that info Monday (day), but might do it now. lol

No blue, no new strat map unless sundog update one this week. I can post a clipboard map if you want, but it will look just like what you would have on your end.

No ROE for the tanks. They can take what ammo they want, engage how they want.

As for the AC and fields I will go over it all and change it on the TOD site for this event. Your right, a lot has changed. Sling I was going to send it to you also.  ;)
