I disagree. While actual true night is only a short while, the period of generally just too dang dark to see is way too long. And happens with too much frequency. I know it's a small world we play in but if the planet were spinning that fast even the tanks would be thrown off into space!

our world isn't spinning too fast...it is the sun....this is the reason Maui and his brothers captured the sun and beat it... and told it to slow down...this is why our days became longer.

The night gives all God's creatures a chance to rest, including pilots.

To add to Shilo's pilot's comment about rest... some players complain about everything.

Ya'll lucky Hitech hasn't added rain or snow or cloudy days. And he's kept the fog layers to a minimum.

Imagine the complaints if a rainstorm ran across one of the maps during sunset...

Real pilots don't care about the weather or darkness, it add's excitement to an otherwise boring ride.  :airplane:

I would love rain and snow even complete fog down to say a 1000 ft alt. IFR flying is fun.

I must not be remembering right, but, was there not, at one time, rain in advancing cloud fronts...??

Reducing visibility does not make the game any more fun.  Quite the contrary, in fact.

I think you might of seen thunderstorm cells Hitech was experimenting with. There was no rain with it however.

Clouds hurt frame rate bad enough. Adding rain would cause grounding the planes, fog the same, even a huge  flock of migrating birds. Please, clear weather.

Yes we have plenty of clouds in the game, but as you ask if there was RAIN in the cloud fronts I pointed out you were wrong.

And yes I play Pacman, Ms Pacman, Centipede, Demolition man, as well as pool on both a 7 foot and a 6 foot table at my house. I have worked for a vending company for 30 years and have acquired a number of games.

Back to night time. I discovered the buildings in town have bluish white lights shinning from the windows. That is so cool. The night sky is done really well I think, the Milky Way looks great. I am finding more constellations all the time.  Still can't find the third of the Three Stooges and Aqua Man. Real tough.
