Best way to clone OS drive?
« on: May 03, 2018, 07:20:29 PM »
My 250GB SSD that has my windows 7 home premium is almost completely full (like 1.2GB free.) What is the best way to clone that drive to my new 1TB SSD?

The last time I cloned a drive I used Macrium Reflect. Its a free program with some good tutorials on how to use it. Not sure if there is any difference cloning an SSD vs and regular hardrive, but this was easy to use.

Most SSD manufacturers offer a free cloning tool. Most often it's a brand dedicated version of Acronis, meaning either the old or the new disk has to be made by the manufacturer whose site you downloaded the tool from.
