14,000 Canadians landed at Juno, supported by over 10,000 Royal Canadian Navy Sailors with over 110 Ships and 15 RCAF Fighter and Bomber Squadrons.

They had 18,700 wounded and 5,000 killed from Normandy to Falaise.

Not to ruin your fun or anything.  :police:

Considering the population of Canada and the size of their armed forces in 1944, it was a considerable contribution and sacrifice. Not to mention their efforts in the North Atlantic, North Africa and Italy, and the skies over Occupied Europe since the war started.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Some trivia

1) The fourth largest Allied air force
By early 1944, the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) reached its peak with 215 000 members and 78 squadrons thus making it the fourth largest allied air force after the US Army Air Force (USAAF), the Soviet Air Force and the Royal Air Force (RAF).

2) The world’s third largest navy by WW2’s end
By 1945, following the destruction of the Axis navies, The Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) was the third largest naval force in the world after the US Navy and the Royal Navy. It was focused on convoy escort and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW). Following the Allied victory, the RCN boasted 95 000 members and 434 commissioned vessels including cruisers, destroyers, frigates and auxiliaries.

This from a population of ~12,000,000

Nobody said Canada didn't contribute.

The joke was clearly lost in translation.    It happens.

I just learned that - he flew the Mark IV Auster artillery spotting airplane. "Craziest pilot in the Canadian Air Force"... :D

Quote from: Canada’s National Post
Granted, at the time Canada was still a British colony and any resident there would have been considered British. However, the soldiers who burned down Washington were all expeditionary troops sent direct from Great Britain, unlike the local militias and Indigenous warriors who had done much of the fighting during earlier U.S. attempts to invade what is now Ontario.
Like Canadians were ever allowed to own matches. They are too dangerous!

Wanna run the American numbers for us?

I'll wait.

You may recall Canada entered WW2 on Sept 10, 1939... not Dec 7, 1941.

Of course there were likely 10 times the Canadian numbers; but the USA's population is at least 10 times larger, so why compare.
