Enjoy! So far it has been a fantastic stick for me. It will have to work flawlessly for years to truly compete with my Warthog stick, but it is way better than the warthog in feel/precision of pitch/roll axis mechanics.

Best stick ever. Six months into mine and no issues so far. The software isn't very easy to grasp but it's comprehensive. Unfortunately there is no easy mode for that! Find the manual here. Only Russian and English versions tho.

Hey I just looked at your blog pics. Don't try to set this stick up with windows. You'll run into calibration problems. Use their software, VKBDevconfig. It's on the site.

I love the stick but can’t figure out how to set up a softer middle in it. I find I have a lot of nose bounce and would like to set it softer in the middle but have yet to get it right. Otherwise I love it.

Just a thought but try toning down the sensitivity a bit. The x and y axii are capable of 15 bit res. That would translate into a fair input for the silliest twitch of your hand. It's in the common-n-axis/logical axis/precis. But that's a global setting for the axis across its whole range. I think I turned mine down to like 12 for the same reason.

On the same common-n-axis tab there's a tab to make response curves for each axis. Just remember--use one or the other, not both vkb and ah for that.

Info in section 3 of the config manual. 3.6 is the section on response curves.

Congrats Blade.  Been very happy with mine as well - best stick out there IMO, the T50 Mongoose is as well, pretty much a tie, I have a couple of both, and they've not disappointed.

Drano, I've got the latest manual for the software, and have messes a bit with it, but primarily rely on the game (AH3 and DCS) for adjusting curves/etc.  Hope you don't mind some PMs in the next week, as I'm going to delve into the VKB software a bit more - I've figured out Virpil's pretty well, but VKB's is a bit more complex, even with the new translation/updated manual.

I have both the Gunfighter (MCG) and the Gladiator (K12). I am still trying to get used to the large handle and messing around with the braking system on the Gunfighter. I like to use POV hats and the one on the Gunfighter doesn't click into position so that takes some getting used to (feels odd). Taking both apart a bunch of times to adjust and the Gladiator is simpler and if you don't need the brake (which I dont use) I would just get the Gladiator with the MCG or Pro handle. Right now I am back to using my Gladiator with the K12 handle but the large MCG handle is nice just need to mess with it more

No problem G. I haven't messed with DCS yet, hardly have time enough for AH. I get a kick out of some of the functions available for this stick. Mind blowing stuff I'd have never thought of!

I have Crosswinds pedals and have toe brakes on them. I use the MCG-Pro brake lever as the dive flap on the P-38.

I use the dual use hat as either POV hat or (more often) an axis for pitch and elevator trim control. The mini stick I use for FOV zoom or map zoom.

Man, completely agree, I was just thinking precisely the same thing today when messing around with it.  Such a fantastic stick, it truly is.  Solid, very solid construction too, sure it isn't metal like the TM F22 stick, but it's as close to as tough as those as it can be not being metal itself IMO.

TM has shown their new F18 stick for the Warthog at E3 this week, going to be interesting sticking one of those in the Gunfighter and Virpil T50 bases, with the new Hornet module recently out.  Heh, good times this summer.

Anyhow, I NEVER thought I'd find a replacement stick for Aces High which would supplant my Fighter and Combatsticks from CH, I've long held that the CH sticks were perfect for this game, in terms of the constant and rapid movements required.  The Gunfighter sticks we have, have pushed our CH products stuff to the Hotas collection table, something I never, ever thought I'd see happen, not after nearly 20 years of using CH for this game.  While obviously there is a massive cost disparity (ya, only 3 or 4x the cost difference, heh), if money is no object, the Gunfighter Mk2 is the perfect stick for this game IMO, leaving the stock springs and cams in it to boot.  I did try the lightest springs, but they are TOO light, like 2x lighter than the CH products feel, and I went back to the standard/factory installed springs in both our Gunfighters, and once the grips come into stock so I can get a grip for the new in box Gunfighter Mk1 I picked up from Ebay, I'll be running stock springs/cams in it as well for AH3.
