Mister Period Twice

Thanks to Lyric1 for finding me the info for this skin.

This 451st Bomb Squadron B-26B was originally named 'Tondelayo' by its crew. It was renamed 'Mister Period Twice' after it luckily missed two of its bomb group's most costly early missions over occupied Europe. One of these was the second raid on the power stations at Ijmuiden, Holland on the 17th May 1943. On this low level raid 16 of the 17 aircraft taking part were shot down.

Yowser.  And I was lead to understand B-26s had the lowest loss rate among American bombers.  16 out of 17 lost.   Of course the blame is probably more on the mission planners and intelligence-gathering than on the bombers or their crews.
