Yes and that is why when we were asked to fill in and do that suicide mission after the original group refused by leaving FSO all together, we did the mission and succeeded. No one gets what they want just becasue they say they want it becasue they have special skills in FSO. We are a community that does what we are requested to do for the community just like WW2 were are recreating. Waystin was observing some possible growth from the outcome of that film. Maybe, I'll reserve an opinion until I see a few no win suicide missions filmed to support the community goals. FSO has given us at times two suicide missions back to back that wiped out our whole sqaud each time. To a man we were PO'd and livid, we didn't leave FSO over it becasue there is always next month and new opportunities. That is called growth......instead of melting away.

This all happened 6 months ago, why is there still animosity about that decision? Do all of the pigs hate the UL's or is it just waystin and tactus going at it.

Well it is a topic that keeps popping up, over and over and over.  We did leave the FSO; but he reasons were a bit deeper than just getting upset about being given bombers again when all the squads had not flown a bombing mission.  There were a few exchanges, responses, no-responses, and silliness that went with this.  I for one decided the FSOs were something I wanted nothing to do with during the exchanges of emails/texts etc.  The mis-characterization of how the event went down is even more amazing.  Since no one saw the texts and emails that did and didn't go back and forth with the exception of Tactus and myself, you are talking out of turn.  For the sake of the community I don't like trolling or trash talk, and I will only playfully engage people who do it with me, if I do it at all.

i have no personal gripe with any player in the game, and find it tedious when there is trash talk that is ill informed, and not even creative enough to be entertaining.  I would like to express my sympathies to the rest of the community that has to keep enduring this mess.  But, because of the nature of the internet, this kind of stuff happens and continues.  I look forward to seeing you all in the unfriendly skies of Aces High.

You don't sweep that under the carpet where it comes to humans working together and relying on each other. Goes to that character thing which the efforts to sweep it under the carpet gives no indication that growing from it is in the tea leaves. They could have hitched up their britches and not run out on everyone. It was just one suicide mission which all of us take our turns with to support the community. If the tea leaves were wrong, you wouldn't have jumped in here has been my 60 years of experience.

Waystin is actually speaking for the 16 guys who hitched up their britches and did the mission knowing they had almost no chance of getting home. Just like they have done with every suicide mission assigned to them over their years in FSO. Character goes to the heart of why those 16 and all the other squads in FSO take their turn with suicide missions instead of quitting, forcing some group to suddenly go from flying fun rides they earned, to knowing their next Friday has been screwed.

Kind of hard for that carpet to cover.

Yep everyone should have a turn in the barrel.  We had ours, and when others hadn't and we were told to get back in the barrel we questioned it.  Then it went sideways.  I for one don't respond to being ignored and then slandered when real dialogue was desired.  I am glad that you hitch up your britches, or whatever colloquialism you were using there, and do your duty.  I'm no longer in the military, and I am beholding to nobody, so I have no reason to tolerate disrespect and stupidity.  If you don't understand that, so be it.  There are no heroes or villains in a cartoon game, just players.  Players come in many flavors, but remain just that.  Trying to make this a question of honor or integrity is really a stretch.  If this game represents your only contact with society, or meets some base need, i'm sorry.  I play to enjoy myself, and don't care to listen to silliness brought on by some self important, self aggrandizing soul, who thinks a sacrifice is playing a cartoon game.  If this game could have real physical pain involved, I would play it a little more seriously, but it's just a game, with game like features, and trolls.  Pay your money, play the game, enjoy yourself, and let others do the same.

Clever!

If you want to get rid of "gaminess" make each time a plane leaves the ground be a "sortie" as it is in real life.  :old:

Instead peeps can rearm unlimited times, and flying really safe, make it count as one sortie.  Dont take this out of context.  I am a fan of the rearm pad!  It is this abuse of it that I'd prefer changed.

Yep I know this will never be changed.   ...just sayn.

Nice job guys. You took a legit wish list post and derailed it into the typical AH purse fight. Grow the hell up and shut the hell up. You are not that important. You should apologize to Brooke for what you did here.

Just to be clear, I not only support Bustr's request but also prefer to nudge out "gaminess" too which is the root cause of this request.

Used to think pretty highly of Waystin... Shame to see him fall to such lows.  Or maybe it's his wife, or kid typing this stuff?  :rofl :rofl

Hmmm. Thread's been locked and unlocked a couple of times, and still you numpties haven't apologized to Brooke for turning his thread into your personal purse fight, and you still continue with your bs. You guys should be given a two-week timeout from posting on the boards.

Regarding the OP, that looks to me like unintentional behavior, rather than something that needs a setting.  HTC's likely seen it, so not a ton of point putting it in the bug report forum at this point I'd think.

Wiley.
If you think you are having a 1v1 in the Main Arena, your SA has failed you.

This is the wishlist forum, not the bug forum.  I'm posting a wish.

Use of it was fully intentional to track a guy through a cloud where otherwise you would not be able to do so.  And I don't blame any player for using the tools available to him.  I expect people to use what is available to them.

In the melee arena, it doesn't much come into play (clouds not used the same there as scenarios).  For scenarios, though, it is an important thing to be able to turn off.

For special events, there are all kinds of settings that have been requested over time and subsequently implemented:  ability to change icon ranges, ability to have different icon ranges for high aircraft vs. low aircraft, ability to set hardness of objects independently (so that you can have a CA different hardness from DD, as one example), etc.

So, here is another one:  the Scenario CM team officially requests that padlock be able to be turned off as a setting; or make it so padlock doesn't track a plane through clouds.

Have to love knee-jerk call outs on 200, and in the forums.  All those ill, and uninformed peeps just blasting away like a kid at the watergun venue in a carnival...  :rofl :rofl

Now i'm going to take some heat for this observation, but I think AKAK, is actually UL lite.  :bolt:
