Oh England is arrogant when it comes to football, you have a habit of grossly overestimate the capabilities of the national team
But its hard to not like a team like Croatia, a small and young country, players like Modric grew up during the war and they have lost a few players, like Ivan Turina, so they get a lot of sympathy as the struggling underdogs that beats the favorites. (Even if they really wasnt underdogs as they are at least as good as England).
As for Sweden we did far better than expected. Winning the group and advancing to quarter final with those players is a great achievement.
