Salute All
Glad to have you aboard for the first Saturday Afternoon Tour of Duty. There are now 9 Squads registered:
Firebirds 56th Squadron RAF
308 (Polish) Squadron RAF
332nd Vikings Squadron
412th FS Braunco Mustangs
56th Fighter Group
92nd Bomber Group
Arabian Knights
Krait Squadron
Marine Air Group
I have received replies from 8 of 9 Squads in regards to preferences to sides. Unfortunately 6 of those replying preferred the RAF/Fleet Air Arm side, one was unsure and another didn’t care.
For that reason I have had to roll the dice and randomly assign Squadrons to the sides. Next T.O.D. those who preferred RAF/Fleet Air Arm but who are ending up on the Luftwaffe side will have preference in the side they get.
Assignments are:
British 2nd Tactical Air Force/Fleet Air Arm
Arabian Knights
308th RAF
Firebirds
Krait
92nd B.G.
Luftwaffe
412th F.S.
332nd Vikings
56th F.G.
Marine Air Group
There are specific rules which apply only to a particular Frame (such as the objectives for the Frame) and there are rules which apply to all Frames.
Airfields and available aircraft are listed on the discription for the TOD on the Saturday TOD site.
The following are rules which apply to all Frames:
Squadron Aircraft Allocation
Prior to the beginning of each Frame the side C/O must assign all the Squadrons aircraft. The following are the restrictions on those assignments:
RAF/Fleet Air Arm
Potential aircraft are the following: Spitfire IX, Typhoon IB, Mosquito MkVI, Hellcat F6F, TBM
Rules are that of the 5 RAF/Fleet Air Arm Squadrons:

At least one Squadron must fly Mosquito MkVI
At least one Squadron must fly Typhoon IB
At least one Squadron must fly F6F
The remaining Squadron may be assigned to fly any of the following:
Spitfire Mk IX
Typhoon IB
Mosquito MkVI
The Squadron flying F6f's may assign any of its pilots to fly TBM's instead. F6f's may not carry bombs or rockets.
Luftwaffe
There are 4 Luftwaffe Squadrons flying a potential 6 aircraft types. 109G6, 109G10, 190A5, 190A8, 190F, Ju88A.
Prior to the beginning of each Frame the side C/O must assign all the Squadrons aircraft. The following are the restrictions on those assignments:
At least one Squadron must fly 109G6
At least one Squadron must fly 190A5 or 190F
One Squadron may fly either 109G6 or 109G10
One Squadron may fly either 190A5, 190A8 or 190F
Any member of any of the above Squadrons may be assigned to fly a Ju88A instead of the Squadron assigned aircraft at the Luftwaffe C/O’s discretion.
Objectives
RAF
The RAF C/O will be given a set of 4 objectives.
3 will be Offensive in nature, ie. attacking targets.
1 will be Defensive in nature, ie. defending targets or areas.
Luftwaffe
The Luftwaffe C/O will be given a set of 4 objectives.
1 will be Offensive in nature, ie. attacking targets.
3 will be Defensive in nature, ie. defending targets or areas.
Each side will gain victory points from successfully attacking or defending objective targets. Each side will gain victory points from shooting down enemy aircraft.
Attacking Offensive Objectives is not mandatory for a side, neither is defending objectives. It is the respective C/O’s choice as to what he decides. He will have to live with the consequences.
