Tarheel Hal
« on: June 14, 2018, 04:20:54 PM »
Thanks to Lyric1 for finding me the info for this skin. It is an adoption of Raptor01's skin of the same aircraft, originally submitted in 2006.

This colourfully painted P-47D was flown by Lt Ike Davis of the 366th FS and was named "Tarheel Hal" after his brother. The 366th was part of the USAAF's 9th Air Force whose role was supporting ground forces in France and then Germany until the end of the war.

Nice addition!  A friend flys it frequently in USAF Heritage Flight formation at airshows.
