I heard that all a/c icons look like fighters now.

What I like about the All Seeing Eye is in the bomber realm.  I like shooting it out fighters.   I can't relate to players who are afraid or refuse to do the very thing that the premise of the game was probably founded on.  The off map bailing when they see a fighter type of play hurts the game if every other player thought that way  there wouldn't be any combat.   a story to help relate You to the bomber players concerns about the Full Dar.   Friday night I got into  a Trio of Liberators and got hunted by the same group of players for about 400 miles. One thing I learned from the experience is load more fuel.  It used to be nice to be able to ditch the pursuers after ammo and fuel run low  and or out, but now that will not be an option much of the time. You may not have enough time to let down from altitude before another set or trio of fighters set upon You.  I watched the map and radar a lot tonight. and  could pretty much tell what type of plane it was by where it took off from speed in the first few minutes of flight and whether it gained much speed after that.  Also how the icon changed direction. The only situation I had trouble telling fighter from bomber was when several players upped and attacked a base close to Their spawn base.   If  the new Icon arrangement  becomes a mainstay  It won't make much difference except for  newer or less tuned in players  who may not figure out how to tell the difference   The same goes for the Dar Bar.  If One knows how to read that the  Utilization of The All Seeing Eye is redundant.   If The new Radar format is to help new players find action all they really have to do is what They should anyway stay with a group and watch and learn.  As stated before though. If You want to promote more contact between Opfor ,   eliminate a large amount to trees and clouds.    To Me Gving was a lot more  enjoyable in AH2.  Employing some maps that don't have so many of Them may be a good way to tell if it promotes more game interaction.  Or at least as an option for those who might.   Have a blast.

Yes please. Heading gives away too much of the darcons intentions.

It's not even displaying a heading like a radar could compute (where was it, where is it now, so what was it's average heading and speed between the last two contacts) but gives away where it will be going NEXT. With an insane update rate.

Too much.

Edit: ps: to put into perspective: This is more information than the in-flight radar of Elite, Wing-Comander, and similar games is showing.

Maybe dots everywhere, but icons inside a friendly dar circle (dots inside of a dead dar circle).  That would restore some of the utility of the base dar, (and a reason to kill it).

The game is dead, something needs to change if you want to retain the trial accounts that only stick around for 10 minutes.  You can afford to upset some vets if your changes improve the numbers.  Dar isnt even a bad thing, people just dont like changes.

Like I told a friend, if they are all the same it does not matter. HTC could make them all bombers, all fighters, or all unicorns and there would still be no difference. Heading, however, is a different matter.

It's not that I don't like change.....but the recent run of radar testing is costing us players.  I, for one,am a buff hunter, imagine my horror to see all planes as fighters!

I always thought that gv radar was insanely wrong because they didn't have it in WWII, I hope it's gone forever.  We lost a lot of gv players when that went into effect.

How many more people can they alienate?

PLEASE stop screwing with the game.
