Thanks brother.  If you have any insight into the colors for the gear doors I'll take it.   I don't know if the theater band went all the way across the bottom of the wing or was painted over on the outboard doors.

Based off of these images i would say no yellow stripe on doors.

Oh?  Do I spy with my eye a BLUE stripe just behind the cowling on #3, with blue rudder tab?  Also with the yellow stripe on the gear door...   I know she's not Bunnie, I just want to be sure I'm not seeing things. 

Judging from the photo's you both tossed up, red is the way to go on Bunnie's gear doors.

Yep. No. 3 had a blue stripe. There are other variations of the red on the noses of 332nd airplanes out there as well.   cheers:
