Additional rules which apply to all Frames of the TOD:
Ground Spotters:
Radar in all Frames of this TOD is sector bars, with a ten mile range, for aircraft over 250ft.
Any aircraft flying below 250ft will not show.
However:
Both the British and German Armed forces maintained spotters all along their coastline. They were equipped with Radio-Telephones and telescopes and tasked with searching for hostile enemy aircraft.
The rule which applies in this TOD is as follows:
Any time an aircraft or group of aircraft under 250ft first crosses a hostile coastline heading into enemy territory, the C/O or senior pilot of that group must announce on open channel the nationality, area, (ie. 7.7, 6.9, etc.) a discription of the aircraft type. (ie. single engine, twin engine) and the approximate number of aircraft to the closest multiple of 5. (ie. 7 aircraft would be reported as 5, 8 aircraft reported as 10)
For example 12 Typhoons crossing the French Coast into France at area 8.9 would report the following:
RAF/8.9/10/Single
A report only has to be made upon crossing the hostile coastline to enter enemy territory. A report only has to be made once. No report is required on exiting enemy territory.
No report has to be made for aircraft crossing the coastline at altitudes over 250ft when the aircraft are showing on the sector bars.
The senior pilot or C/O of a Squadron under 250ft who fails to report their position on crossing hostile coastline will cause his Squadron to forfeit all points gained that frame.
