Playing for score actually helps you really improve on being better at the game. Using the #s as metrics to guide your effectivness. Score adds a competitive aspect to the game.

I love the fact that the score changes every month. Gives others a chance to reach the top. Gives you a fresh start every month.

It's just another thing that players can strive to accomplish in the game.

While I dont really play for score...it does give me something to focus on. Right now..its the Attack Scores. Lately.. top 40 or so in "Kill points" and K/D with a sub 80 or so in total score. Thats without milk running in A20 to lift damage per sortie...Not saying folk do this..but my CO would...just to eek out a closer Attack score
