Originally skinned by MachNix I have done a complete redraw of the airplane.   This aircraft is unique in that photo evidence shows a lack of stripes on the wings and horizontal tail surfaces compared to its squadronmates.

The 2nd Air Commando Group (USAAF) was one of a number of composite groups that were formed to support deep-penetration missions behind enemy lines in Burma. The original 1st Air Commando Group had originally been structured as a single unit with sections for each aircraft type, but was soon restructured to use standard squadrons. The 2nd Air Commando Group was formed with squadrons from the start, and was given two fighter squadrons equipped with the P-51 Mustang, three liaison groups equipped with the Stinson L-5 Sentinel and one transport unit equipped with the Douglas C-47 Skytrain.

The group moved to India in September-November 1944 in support of the Burman Campaign until May of 1945 when it was slowly disassembled and returned to the United States by that October.

Not without scrolling through them offline.    If you see any of the Mustangs on the skins page with a picture icon the chances are good they've been updated beyond the shiny glass-blown replica stage.

I have done a quick and dirty update on a few--giving them specular maps--and will eventually update them fully if nobody else wants them.  That may take awhile to do a good job on them, though.
