They may be building something in Colorado.

They did look pretty good in the game.  They were quite good in 2016, ending the season ranked #17.  That year, although losing to Michigan, they beat Oregon, Stanford, #22 Washington State, #22 Utah, and barely lost to USC.

Hard to say about Bama and Auburn... they played teams that were (not disparaging them)
really not on their level
 :furious

Alabama hasn't had any challenges yet -- but if you are scoring 50-10 against lower-conference teams, it's still an indication that you are pretty good.

Auburn did play a highly ranked team:  Washington.  It was a great game, which Auburn won by 5 points.

I also watched the Nebraska game.  Yikes, that was a heart breaker of a game for Nebraska but it sure meant a lot to Colorado, and it was a very exciting game, coming down to the final play in the last 3 seconds.

I don't think it was quite as heartbreaking as you would think.  It proves that having the first game cancelled really hurt, as a few of the mistakes were due to the first time facing an opponent. ( fumbles, in particular )

The Huskers played well, but self-inflicted wounds probably did the most damage.  ( while waiting for the verdict on if assault charges will be filed on the guys responsible for wrecking Martinez )

Pity Tristan Gebbia left.. he would have had the opportunity to step in and be the hero once Martinez was taken out.

Whereas there are high expectations here, I honestly doubt very many actually believed we'd be back at the top of the heap the first season.

But, then, again.. maybe they do.

Still should be a fun season.  At least they're running the ball again.

(Previously) 0-3 Purdue trashes #23 Boston College.  Hadn't beaten a ranked team since 2011.  :rock

I am very happy for the Wolverines today.  They played great, including deeper into the bench, and including excellent performance from the offensive line.

Go, Wolverines!  :aok

Either they are that good or Nebraska just hit rock bottom.

The Huskers have issues.  Some of those kids are doing stupid things at levels we didn't think was possible.

I have no doubt that Coach Frost will get things straightened out. It may take a few years, tho.

I don't think Nebraska is as bad as the score of that game would indicate.  They came very close to beating Colorado, which is a decent team; and they lost to Troy (which is not a horrible team -- look at what they did last year) with the Nebraska backup quarterback in.

I think Nebraska had a bad day while Michigan was very psyched up for that game.

Look at Oklahoma vs. Army.  Does Oklahoma suck?  No.  Is Army the #6 team in the nation?  No.  But Army had a great day, and Oklahoma (at least defensively) was not having a good day.

Look at Virginia Tech vs. Old Dominion.

Things like that happen.

I think Scott Frost is a good coach, and Nebraska will be on the rise.
