First and foremost, reboot your modem. There may be a frozen AH connection despite all the rest working fine. Unplug from mains, wait for half a minute, replug. If there's a power button, press it a few times while unplugged to drain the capacitors.
Another trick worth doing is to shutdown your computer to the very bottom. This applies to Windows 8 and 10 only. Press the Shift button while clicking Shutdown. Restart normally. That makes Windows start from scratch instead of copying any settings from the previous session.
These two tricks are normal maintenance which you may want to repeat on a regular basis, monthly or even more often.
