The best international player and one of the greatest Spurs of all time retires...    :cry

Dang.  I will miss watching Manu Ginobili play.  My favorite (along with Bruce Bowen).  In his prime he was amazing.  He even knocked a bat out of the air during a game on Halloween.  You can't make that up.

Spurs will always be in the middle, like Purgatory. I have never heard of Ginobli, though. Must have been awful for a very long time.

A real sport.  Ironically, Manu played basketball with what had to be something akin to a soccer or hockey player’s mentality and vision when it came to passing.    The guy was a flat out genius.   He would be a good at ACM with a mind like that.

(If I never see another soccer game it will be too soon.)

No.  Not really.  Not after that Olympic Gold Medal (which was considered an impossible task in The Dream Team era).  Ginóbili is their national hero.   Even Messi once said, “They should call me the Manu of Football [soccer].”
