Did you check the volume and boost in Voice settings?

If you got a Windows 10 update, check the devices used in Options->Game Sounds to make sure they are correct.  They can change.

Also check this: http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,71591.msg5226555.html#msg5226555 as the game will no longer crash if Windows 10 has installed the update which will prevent the game from using the microphone.

Don't worry about changing volume if it's set to full. Uncheck auto mic boost and set boost to max if you haven't tried that yet. Click apply to make the changes.

Make sure the mic is selected in game sounds.

You did make sure to set the microphone to allow applications, other than Windows, to use it in your privacy settings?  That is new in Windows 10 (recent update) and defaults to not allowing non-Microsoft applications access to the microphone.
