Just to say THANK YOU :salute I LOVE reading your write ups...on your REAL LIFE exploits! So you can understand where I am coming from...This one is for YOU,SIR :rock This is EXACTLY how I feel while reading your stories :rofl   Its like I was there!

Thank you sir!  I’m glad you enjoy my tales of aviation.  It’s been an honor and privilege to fly in the USAF.  Always fun to share the slightly out of the ordinary events.

They certainly had a function and definitely kept us warm on the ramp during preflight.  The “Poopy” suit was pretty much like a thick, full body condom.  Somewhat restricted movement and it took very little time to get overheated while wearing it.  In the extremely cold waters around the Koreas, we figured the suit would keep us conscious and mobile enough to crawl into a single man life raft and that would be pretty much the end.  At least the life rafts were international orange.  That way, search and rescue would have a small chance of finding our hypothermic, unconscious bad self floating about.
