I'd forgotten about this vid, great find for the Armistice holiday.  The audio of the shoot down is incredible.  Average age was 22 on the Lancasters.  One grandfather was an engine tech on them in Canada where many were built - 430 by Victory in Canada - the other grandfather flew aboard them after transferring from the RAF in the UK to the RCAF (not in combat), doing airborne r/t testing before they were flown to the UK for the war from Canada.

What hooked me was the underlying tension in their voices underneath the external layer of English, well-practiced, nonchalance.  You could tell they were scared stiff, which makes their ability to keep their stuff wired tight even more admirable.

What I was looking for, when I found this, was I thought I read somewhere that the RAF had recorded all the radio traffic between control and squadrons during the Battle of Britain.  I was not able to find that.  I might have been mis-remembering.

Not sure if it's the same recording, but there is a free occulus experience called Berlin Blitz and it is set to a BBC recording of an attack on Berlin. I thought it was good, but there were moments where I thought it wasn't very well done..good price though, Free.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!
