Something wrong with your system I'm afraid. I run an old PIII700, 512 mb ram, Voodoo5500 64 mb and stay in 50 to 60 fps, except smoke which drops to mid 20's.

Hope you get it resolved.

Sky Viper: your framerates never drop below 20 because your display card cost 4 times as much as mine.. Catch the drift?

R4M: 4in1 drivers have been updated about 100 times since you first installed them! Try downloading the latest version. Most likely you'll see a performance gain.

Hmmm, PIII-600, 512Mb PC133 SDRAM, Geforce 2MX. I get 30-40fps in furballs, 1280x1024x32. Lotsa smoke drops it down to about 15fps.

RAM, Melonazo, I don't have framerate problems with my PII400@450, 384 MB of you, and a GeForce 256 DDR. The CPU is at least 2 years old, and the grafic card 1 or more. Something is wrong with your system...

R4M .. Perhaps you could tell us what some of your BIOS settings are;

Bios Shadow .. disable
Bios Cacheable .. off
Video Bios Cacheable ... off
Video RAM Cacheable ... off

PS: HOLD ON A MINUTE ... I just reread your first posting and you said that "1 Gb HD for virtual memory."

Do you mean to say that you have 1 gig for virtual memory? Please explain

I got Athlon 650 classic, Gforce 2mx 32Meg, 256 Meg RAM, win98SE, directx 8.0a, Monster sound II.

I run AH at 1024*768 * 32bit, i normally get between 35-50, and down to 20 or so in hvy smoke.

Ram: first get the VIA 4in1 drivers(only if you have VIA chipset), they make a huge difference. Get the latest detonator 21.something drivers. And start overclocking stuff, if your still not happy.

umm HiTech was on the ALL MIGHTY KNIGHTS TEAM!!!!!!! w00T! but anyways lots of people have been getting bad cons and all. some time this week (hopefully) they are putting a new ISP so it will work betta. and also try the ALT route might work better

and also turn off ur antivirse fire wall etc etc
