Well, believe it or not, it happened. I survived a TOD and so did cap'n Fatso! Not only did we survive, but we actually got kills. I'd like to thank the LuftWaffle 109 sweep that got lost, thereby preventing our early demise!

Just wanna say also, that this TOD has been simply awesome! Very immersive, I've found my heart racing and adreneline pumping several times! I'm looking forward to the next one...great work!

Yep, it does happen now and then...FDBs flying in formation. Myelo disco'd early and is the dot in the background catching up!

We spotted a dot to the east shortly after reaching altitude for our CAP. Turned out to be one unlucky 109. Fulzgold was in hot water real quick!

I got a ping or two on him, but he outran me...and Sally...and Exile! I think he rtb'd to change his undies after that!

During the chase, Sally's great eyes spy some dots down low (5xJU-88s!). I was the last to give up on the 109 and had to run hard to catch up and regroup.

As I approach the rest of the squad, Fatty downs the first JU-88. The smoke trailing toward the top of the screen is Myelo breaking off after his radiator is damaged.

Fatty breaks off for position after his second JU-88 kill, and Exile falls to the gunners.

Fatty comes in for his third and final kill, expending most of his ammo after finishing this one off.

I make a run on my first JU-88 and light him up good

He falls to pieces as I pass by him

I pull up and over for position on the last JU-88

Knowing he's in trouble, he pulls some desperate evasives. It doesn't help

Fatty gives him the rest of his ammo for an assist, and I swoop back in to deliver more until the pilot bails

As I peel away from the bailing pilot, I can't stop the horrible memories from flooding to my mind about the bombers that had infiltrated our territory in weeks previous and how they bombed my local 7-11. I once again feel the horror of that day as I realized there would be no more Super Big Gulps and corn dogs for me! I asked for and was granted permission to exact my revenge!

I unload and momentarily forget about the loss of my beloved Dr. Pepper

Hazed wonders what kind of bastard would do that The Fat Drunk kind, of course! <S> Hazed!

Fatty & I rtb to refuel and re-arm for continued CAP. He spots a couple of dots just past the base and being the only one with ammo, I head over to check it out. A couple of 109s strafing a factory? After dodging my own ack (I'm gonna have to have a chat with those ack weenies' CO! ) I completely loose track of them, assume they're dead by ack and go to land. Upon reviewing the film, I can see that they made it out fine and headed back out the channel low to the waves. Nice work!

Although a little weary from our experience last frame, we land to re-fuel and re-arm. We head around to various reports of NME but none are to be found except a recently dead one by the 56th. We RTB once more and land unharmed! A miracle!

Nicely illustrated AAR. Can anyone suggest a good site that hosts pictures...free? I tried to do something similar for my squad AAR and the quality looked so much worse than what I see when viewing from my hard drive.

Our 3 jugs ran into a flight of 4 109s (Supongo, Orka, and the JG52 crew) heading south towards France--away from where the Ju88s had been. They were at 7,10,3,1, about 10 miles east of P39, and this was oh I guess 5-10 minutes after we heard Fatty reporting on killing the Ju88s. We were coming north after our uneventful sweep of the Calais area.

If these guys were your escorts, we didn't hold em up while you were getting killed; they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Twice actually considering they ran into us.

I do feel sorry for all those poor defenseless Ju-88s though.

It was a case of "lets go the wrong way" syndrome.I went west others went east FDB'S almost gave me lead poison.
