That was really painful from the torp bomber view. I know that not every FSO will be perfectly balanced, etc, but I would have assumed that there was a chance to do something other than fly for 45 minutes to get "spotted" by one of the many CV groups in the target area and quickly annihilated. Not shot down, ANNIHILATED.
Worst things I've heard in FSO...
"OK, so we are in torpedo bombers, the jap kind... We're going to just slow this giant bill-board down so our tail gunners can troll for fish before we drop this torpedo"
"don't worry, we'll burn up before we hit the water"
"1000 perk points to the guy that actually gets there torp into the water"
"Ok, well might as well go AFK, we will be on this heading for 30 minutes" <- why even bother, if I wanted an old guy chat simulator, I'd goto the coffee shop in a small farming town.
"Need a gunner, no I'm dead too"
I dunno gents, made point of joining FSO that night and totally regretted wasting my time. <S> to the allies for patiently waiting for the whack-an-AH-subscriber-mini-game event to start! Must have been horrible having to wait so long to slaughter the not-so-interested-axis.
*Change the rules; axis should be able to hit ANY CV group and it counts... Otherwise, just give the rest to allies and call off the whole thing.
