Getting in a little RC flying on a Friday afternoon
« on: January 13, 2019, 03:47:08 PM »
I've been doing these little tiny electrics (18-24" wingspans) for several years now after giving up the big gassers.   These things are really great fun.   This plane, Yak 54,  is one of my favorites.   Nice vertical performance and handles like a big plane.   This was a beautiful Friday afternoon at the soccer field.   Absolutely no wind though a bit cold.   Thought you might enjoy.

Never flown electrics. Used to fly gas for some time and grew away from it. Always enjoyed it though.

I have a couple UMX's (Beast 3D, Spitfire, Flyzone's Albatros), but I prefer going to the field with my larger nitros. I do enjoy a relaxing evening at the ball field with my small electrics, though. I have Parkzone's larger Albatros and B109G-6 as well as a Twisted Hobbies Crack Yak-54 which I absolutely recommend if you are looking to learn some 3D flying.

Sweet video,Sir! I have a Spit 14 Electric, never been flown...yes I am chicken :aok Recently moved to WV and have a huge field now..well bigger than the "HUGE" field I used to have :headscratch: Just getting up the nerve to fly it. It was cheap, and I have the means to replace it, should the inevitable happen..maybe I will find a day when I know no one will be watching :devil Pretty sure its just me..field is like 300 x 250 yards, no power lines so surely I can muster up some courage :uhoh well after I get it checked for radio range...ok I know, quit finding excuses :aok
