It would take less than one day for this scenario to happen:
Leet guy flys around in uber plane, picking and running.
One of Leet guy's squaddies just so happens to switch sides and kill him with ease.
Leet guy's lackey gets boatload of perks.
Leet guy's whole squad take turns racking up their perk coffers.
Leet guy's squad uses ill-gotten gains to fly perk planes even more than usual.
If some government bureaucrat wouldn't chime in to say it's gambling, I'd say you should be able to "put up" perk points as a multiplier. Put up 100 perk points, this sortie has a multiplier of 2 (or whatever), another guy killz you in that sortie, they get your perk points and you lose the multiplier.

It would be tough to police, but make it so that the pilot that puts up the perk points is at risk so the side switching to get the kill isn't a default option.
Interesting thought, not sure how to implement without the classic "How can I game the game view".
