One, until yet, unexperienced aspect of the ELO system is if you have / had a higher rating and you mix with players with a lower rating (or they're all that's available) your rating will inevitably quickly drop to somewhere within their average bracket. For example I had - at the introduction of the MPA drones - a rating of 1370, slightly below Blade's rating. After flying with mixed AI and human players (usually quite inexperienced) my rating has dropped to 1216.
Practically this is obvious, if I kill a low-rated human player I won't improve my rating much at all, but if one with 1106 kills me, then i will lose quite a few points. Since the system applies even in the Free For All area, getting picked by a 1106 human player scews the accuracy of your ELO quite a bit.
This isn't much of an issue except:- now look at the duelling scenario. Someone who doesn't much bother with the FFA area willl think twice before duelling someone with their (artificially) lower rating. Take Blade for example, if he cares about score / ELO rating, he's hardly going to choose to fight me with a rating of 1216 when his is over 1370, knowing I can likely defeat him. I'm not saying this is why Blade is ducking me (that could be for any number of reasons

)
Anyway a suggestion: to stop motivation for ducking fights, I though you could have the ELO rating automatically degrade over time back to default, Then you'd have motivation to fight to keep yourself at the top, it would allow for breaks from fighting and rust and especially if the table was presented on the homepage, provide the core for some competition.
