Very nice Raxx

Nicely laid out.. 512x (only way you can fit in Port Morsby (sp?))

Those Jihad's Phillipine textures are they?

I'd add a lil eye candy, some small farms, fishing villages.. maybe some exposed rock along the ridges. Different types of jungle, some coconut trees or something.

Solomans are big on coral reefs.. so I'd add some of that.. only to break up the blue and green.

The pad the runway sits on for successful landing needs to be transparent.. Shouldn't be so easy to find airfield. HTC already said they'd look into that.

Damn, I fergot to put the credits.txt into the zip file.  Yes, Jihad's textures are used throughout the terrain.
The scale is about 2.2:1 and it is specifically designed for larger scenarios but not for use in the main arena.

I had thought about putting in villages along the coastlines but the more objexts you include on the map, the worse it affects frame rates, (you are limited to 4000 objects and there are already 2400 in this terrain).

The biggest problem I have so far is getting a tile for the cities and factories to sit on, (the factory dirt object stands out like dog's balls and makes the buildings easy to target so I've placed the buildings on "bare" ground).  You can't do this with an airfield because you need the runway texture to land on.  I copied the grass texture over the snow texture and will replace the snow with a "city" tile once my RSI calms down a bit.

Hello Raxx   :)

Good job on the terrain.

Have you had any Field problems.

I didn't spend a lot of time in the terrain, but noticed that you have C04 objects.

As far as I know there should only be C01, C02 and C03 objects for the 3 different countries.

If you don't have any problems thats good, I guess I wouldn't worry about it.

Still, 2 thumbs up on the terrain.

You know you're doing something right if you get 10Bears attention.  :D

Hi Pokie,

Jihad looked over the terrain and pointed out a few problems.  The worst was rotating the airfields and not rotating the entry points inside the hangers, (doh!), which left planes launching into walls.  Badly aligned hanger entry points meant that some planes were clipping the wingtips on the doors and crashing as well.

The other thing I was caught out by is the ammo bunkers in the port group.  There are a couple suspended 10ft in the air and need to be set to the same alt at the terrain.

The C4 buildings are deliberate.  If they get bombed they don't affect the rebuild times of either country.

Missing Shape HANGERV...X2

This is because 2 of the field are missing their "Selection Hanger".
Should be something like F01HGR0.  It seems you MUST have a HGR0 for every TWR0.  ;)
I think one of them is at TG32...when you select hangar you are shipped accross the ocean to chose...prolly to the port of origin for the CV.

VHE0 for Field 3 is somewhere around Field 1 and VHE# for the north launch is in the Field 3 hanger (intentional?) ...If not, when you first open the editor and add an object the field will be set to 1 and you will have to change it. After that, it sticks to the last change you made.

There is an Island off the west side of 31 that is not on the map.  :)

Field guns:  I didn't look at all the bases, but 12 has several manable 37mms.  There are so many places so close together that the "Selection" Hanger makes it nearly imposible to select some of them.

Also at A12, the north and south launch points are at a sub field SE of the main base?

Nice job on the map grid alignment!
