Very cool Doc!
That's very similar to a map I was working on (Which I will stop now). Basically mine looked almost like yours, except the Volcano was in the NW (I was going to have have it spew ash, by making the clouds rise out of it and then move east)
And then the land mass on the east was separate from the Northern Landmass with a large channel running north to south between the two large ridgeline/islands that carriers could traverse. The eastern landmass also had the H.Q. near a waterfall (Make the clouds come out a short distance at the base of the waterfall and it looks like the 'spray' at the base.)
Also, the Northwestern landmass was snow covered with ice floes to the the north. The eastern landmass was tropical. And the southern land mass was a rocky desert.
I can't tell what size your map is, but if it is designed for 256 x 256, I recommend you build it as 512 x 512 to prevent players from doing 'off the map runs'. What I mean is, design the land mass's as 256 x 256, but by building it as 512 x 512, there will be a large water buffer around the edges. It would also make the 'outside' edges of the land mass's more functional from a gameplay standpoint.
I can't wait to fly on that. Nuttz will do a great job.
