Aircraft - Me-262 with 100% Fuel

Race Setup:
Players will start at A14.  Players launch from
A14 and fly clockwise to A26, A51, A39, A76, A64
and back to A14.  Players must successfully land
and refuel at each base before moving onto next
leg of race route.  Once, players have refueled
at A14 successfully, they can End Sortie to
complete the race.

This is an unlimited life event.  Players who
crash can relaunch from last completed leg of the
race route and continue. Fields will be open for
entire event.  This what I will be looking for
in the logs.

starts then.  The last racer out the hangar
can still win the race if the first racer
takes longer to finish.

Choose Mesaview Terrain.  Go to Clipboard and
selectOptions then Arena Setup and then Fields.
In Left Window Box, highlight A14 in drop down
menu and leave highlighted. In same Left Box Window,

through the plane list and highlight Me-262.  Keep
Me-262 highlighted and click either Enable Plane Tab

Airfields if needed.

If you can't take off, then go to Options then Arena

where #2 changeto #3.  That will allow flight.

Players who arrive and don't want to fly can watch
from CM Eye View. Go to clipboard, click Options,
click Controls, click Map Keys, click ViewSelect CM
Eye Move Forward to highlight, click F7 and click
Set Key.  In Tower, click F5 for outside tower view,
click F7 to activate CM Eye Move Forward. Use throttle
control for speed and joystick to move left, right,
up, and down.

Arena Settings:
Terrain Mesaview

127mph downdraft at 4000 ft and above
Enable Tower Gods Eye
T + 90 minutes event is over.  Logs will be closed
and arena rebooted. Anyone still in arena will be
ejected including CM.

Players who practice this will have best chance of winning.  The valleys are around 2500 ft. between the raised mesas.  The 50mph downdraft at 2000 ft. will suck your gas.  This route was tested at 7.0 Fuel Burn with 7 minutes of fuel between fields.  4.0 Fuel Burn will give extra time for lining up at each airfield for landing and refueling.

The player with the lowest time gets to pick the June 30th aircraft for the next NOE race.  September and December will have next NOE races.

Been getting PMs on where to find the terrains.  The best method is to create a custom arena.  There is a drop down menu with all available terrains.

The Design Team will find the right aircraft and NOE challenge for June.  The 163 has been ruled out due to no fuel load capability.  Looking at Ar-234 as next possibility.  Landing and refueling jets are a true challenge.  TA-152 will be looked at also with long wings and similar landing approaches as jets.  I-16 will be a possibility also with some testing for best optimal challenges.

This should give players some aircraft to practice with in both online and offline testing.
