P-51C “Gladys” (#259) - 51st FG, 26th FS - AH3 Adoption

This a P-51C-10-NT named "Gladys" of the 51st Fighter Group, 26th Fighter Squadron based out of Kunming, China in 1944.   BH3841 originally created this for AH2.  I've updated it and preserved some of his work on the shark mouth and eyes as a tribute to his efforts.

There is not much information out there regarding this skin that I could find.   I would have liked to re-skin it as "Evalina" from the same squadron since we actually have photos of that aircraft.  https://forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/topic/134017-japanese-premium-p51c-34evalina34/  If that is allowed I'll consider redoing it.

Other planes in that squadron had black in the mouth but the profiles of this aircraft don't.

Really nice looking skin Vraciu.

I think HTC usually want exactly the same aircraft skinned to prevent complaints from players who liked the old one for some reason. Personally though I'd prefer to have the aircraft that there is a photo of as profiles are often unreliable as source material and are sometimes just pure fantasy.

Thanks you guys. I am still working on the metal flaring with enabled reflections.    The B behaves differently than the D there.

If we get Hitech to approve swapping schemes (within the same squadron) I'll change it.  The other skin has much more history behind it and tons of photos.

Devil, I darkened the diffuse metal by about 9% and it definitely cut down on the chalk white sun glare.

It's tough to find that balance of what cuts down on the flaring and does not look too dark otherwise.
