Bf 109G-2 flown by
Luutnanti Eero Riihikallio of 2/HLeLv 24 in May 1944. This skin is an adoption of the original done by Bubi.
While defending the Karelian Isthmus during the Soviet offensive in the summer of 1944, Riihikallio shot down 10 soviet planes, three of which were in this plane, MT-213. He also had another 6.5 victories while flying the B.239 before his unit transitioned to the Bf 109.
MT-213 belonged to the first batch of Bf 109's bought by Finland and was delivered in March, 1943. Unlike most Finnish 109's, this aircraft was painted in the standard Finnish camouflage pattern of olive green and black over light blue. The majority of 109's in Finnish service remained in their factory applied gray colors.
