Research Assistance Requested - F-6C "Barbara's / Miss Revenge" Maj. Ed McComas

Working on redoing Barbara's / MISS REVENGE, a P-51C/F-6C flown by 14-victory ace Ed McComas.  I've found some closeups of the nose art but I can't find anything that shows the aft fuselage, tail number, etc.   Does anyone have access to anything that can help?

There are some of his P-51D but I am after the P-51C/F-6C images.

Those two showing the tail are a jackpot find if we can assume it's his plane.    Looks like the last one predates the yellow paint, too.   Wow.

D.  44-11280.   The S/N is just visible.

here is another image I found...C variant I think with a custom paint job during the time McComas was with the 118th in China.




it's a custom paint job for his squadron - not his I think (McComas ) but who is the dude? Or is that McComas's plane?

From what I read, McComas is the one who commissioned the lightning bolts after he took over as CO.   He told one of his maintenance guys to create something flashy.   The black bolts didn’t stand out enough so mcComas dug up some yellow sign lettering paint and that was used for the bordering. 

 

I like that OD scheme.  Real cool.
