Proggy keeps locking up

Very odd and seeming to increase in frequency.

When I move across my terrain it just locks.
The program just stops and doesn't respond.
I can work outside of it and use other programs, etc. but it never recovers.
I notice that as I move, the map window (lower right corner) Flashes. Even if I pull the throttle to ZERO and push the stick while holding B1, it flashes.

I don't seem to have the problem in V2.00, but then I don't have nearly as many bases or objects because of the limits.
Currently I have 75 Bases and 3044 objects in the terrain that is locking up.
I was doing fine up to about 2900 objects.
Beyond that it seemed like the more I added the worse it became.

I figured it out.
After 2 hours of trouble shooting I found that there is was an object on 3 of my Air Field Groups that was causing the lockup when I got close (apparently when it loaded into memory) to it.

Oddly, the lockup will occur in the game in 1.08 but did not happen in 107. Also, it doesn't lock up in Version 2.00 of the editor.

Well, I have roads to plow and tracks to lay, so back to work I go.  :)

The problem was with hangar sides that I put up like a camo net.  Here are the culprit lines from the .oba

I'm running Windows 2000 Pro.  Im noting 100% CPU usuage with a blank map.  Well, to be completely honest, I just installed the program and reading the help file, the mouse doesn't respond for a few seconds, then makes it back.

This normal?  I mean if I'm having issues with a blank slate, I'm wary of adding stuff  :D

All of my HTC programs have always shown 100% CPU usage.
Shrug.

Did I miss something?  
Did the allowable field number go up?  
It still says max 64 fields and 4000 objects in the help file.

This is right out of the help file.

Just a thought.  Have you tried removing all editor versions and then doing a reinstall of 2.08.  This is a stand alone editor, not an update of editor2.

Btw those limits have been increased to 255 fields and 10000 objects.

Think i found the problem. If you put group object AFLrg (large field) on the map and scroll back and forth, it locks up... Using lgflg2 (large field as used in arena) it doesnt...

I find for me when it locks up I stop touching the joystick, wait about 5 seconds and then can use it again.  
Note! Most of my problem comes with using B1 button, if I don't use it, and use the TOP VIEW button on the editor screen instead, I have less freeze ups.
If I want to move across the terrain I use the B3 button, then straighten my view with TOP VIEW button.

One other thing, whenever I do use B1 button, I find the closer I'm to the terrain surface, the more likely it freezes up.  Sometime disingaging the grid lines help even more.

The lockups are gone.

There seemed to be a problem when including 2 HNGRGHT objects close to each other.

IE, if you were to place 3 Right Hand Fences in parallel such that their red object pads overlapped.

I had made a nice little compound that looked like a WW2 picture I have in a book.  Can't do it that way now, and I don't have time to rebuild it.  Will try later.
