I have noticed that I have to calibrate my stick every time I log in.  not a big deal.  but during the first flight, it will not keep auto pilot and it's hard to control.  once I land or bail, and I calibrate then it goes away.  I do have some damp on all 3 axis.  if I happen to jump to another plane then I need to calibrate again during flight.  I use to have this stick way back then and also had the same problem.  the one I have now is only a couple of months old.

any ideas?

What does DIView tell you about your Joystick? You can leave it running while in the game. Check the stick before going in the game, then in the game, pick your ride and fly it. If the next ride has the problem, tab out of the game and see what DIView shows about your stick axis's at that point.

This is like the old joke that voters are harsher to their beer brewer if he has an outage, than their politicians after raising their taxes. Death and taxes are certain but, fun and sex is only now.
