Frigid Midgit
« on: April 05, 2020, 11:59:51 AM »
LNG15 requested I skin this aircraft, thank you to Lyric1 for finding me some photos of it.

"Frigid Midgit" was the the P-47D of 2nd Lt Jack Hallet of the 394th Fighter Squadron. As part of the 9th Air Force his squadron provided close air support to the Allied armies as they pushed across northern Europe in 1944 and 45. Jack's support was occasionally a little too close, he once crash landed a P-38 after sustaining battle damage and later hit trees three times flying P-47s. On one of these occasions he was doing a beat up of his own airfield and did enough damage that the wings of his aircraft had to be replaced with some uncamouflaged ones.

That bare metal is the best in game! Great job!
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Don't think there is a problem with this one getting in.  :headscratch:

It is only the P-47D-11 that has no slots left, which as far as MA skins is concerned means no razorback Thunderbolts can be submitted. All the other bubble top Jug variants have plenty of available slots. So I will be submitting this one with the next batch of MA skins, probably this coming week.

Yeah, it’s a neat scheme with a cool backstory.
