Locked on Wingman
« on: January 22, 2020, 11:45:02 AM »

Have a question, if you are on a bomber run and your wingman is locked on to your bombers, if he goes into his guns
does he loose lock on his wingman.

Nope he will stay in wingman mode when in his guns (assuming his bomber can stay in formation, no damage, lead throttled back a bit, etc.), but it will turn off wingman and switch to level mode in the scope.

This is where position comes in, and of course, target.  If the target is a town or a strat, then there won't be a need for the one locked to a leader to go into bomb sight.  Just jump into pilot seat and pickle when he does.  If lead accounted properly, you both will do reasonable damage to the town/strat.  Sure, it's not going to be as effective as you going into your own sight and making more precise drops, but it's more "accurate", and in my opinion, fun. :D

Now if only bombs would continue to salvo out after jumping back into guns....
