HOST text buffer - altering
« on: June 29, 2020, 04:48:24 PM »
I’ve been looking around trying to find where to change what the HOST shows in buffer.

Haven’t found it yet, is it possible? I don’t mind seeing the total a player lands, but every single kill in the game really fills up the screen at busy times when I want to see something said or written just a few moments before.

Thank you.

They're casting their bait over there, see?

You cant split the host messages. The only three options are:

1. leave as it is and you'll get use to it.
2. Turn off ALL host messages kills landed ship track changes, base captures, win the war messages everything.
3. Right click on the message tab, click "add a tab" and put the host messages on a seperate tab and/or window.

I use the third option and have the message windows low on the screen. 5 lines for the regular text, and 3 lines for the host messages. Works great for me.

Thank you.

Hmm I guess I don’t recall seeing each/every kill until they were landed when I played mid 2000, 2011-‘16. I thought maybe that was because I was able to change the HOST.

I like your 3rd option  :aok

Although it gives you some help when you know who just shot down your friendly, i.e. if I’m up against someone with great skill.
