Editing field objects
« on: April 04, 2020, 02:49:11 PM »
How difficult is it to edit a field object? I am looking specifically at the Flak field. It currently sits at 129 objects, but if we removed most or all of the guns (both 88mm and AA) it would remove nearly 100 objects. When you do that, it gives us the perfect 'airstrip' kind of field we'd like in Events for satellite/undeveloped fields. I figured this would be much easier than making a whole new 'field object' from scratch.

Would this be something HTC would have to do?

The short answer is yes, it's simple to remove all the guns and that part will work without tears. Unfortunately, you won't like the results.
The Flak field has holes where each guns sits. You can drive a jeep through the terrain at some of those locations where you see the underlying water showing. Back during the Beta, I did this anyway for avaeto but it was only for a bomber target. You can't see the holes from 20,000 feet.

No.

If you still want to take on the project, send me a PM.
