Saw the article.  Posted this link earlier.  Haven't played it myself but have heard friends' opinions.

Reading the article, I have to admit that I would not pay to buy the game let alone pay the subscription when that goes into effect.

The part that got me really laughing in the article was the fact that it is even a 3 step process just to fire a rifle.  Reminds me of the "special" control sequences needed to execute a special move for Nintendo's StreetFighter.

5.8 is very accurate.

It gets 5 for tanks and the amazing sense of speed on the ground, .7 for the really cool webpage banner photos, and .1 for a funny BBS of doom and gloom.

Day of Defeat is way better, and I thought that WAS Quake (or Halflife..something).

Get it next year, if they can stay in biznus, in 6-8 months it will be alot better.

Talk about a waste of money.  I've thrown money before on stuff before, but never anything as stinky as ww2online.  From a fight perspective it's a joke.  Total joke.  The ground is a little better, but not much.  Don't waste your money like I did.
